Game Recap: Giants 5 Dodgers 5 F

In the end, this game neither neither hurt nor improved the Giants spring record, as they stay at 2-5 through 8 games.

The Dodgers could not get a hit, let alone score a run, against either Cain, or Vogelsong. They scored in last two-thirds of the game to neutralize the 5 run outburst by the Giants offense in the fifth inning.

In the end, the Giant bats could not edge out their rivals from Los Angeles. However, it was quite an intriguing matchup.

It's a rematch of Game 5 of the 2014 World Series featuring Giants left-hander, Madison Bumgarner, against newly acquired Padres hurler, James Shields.

In his second start of spring, Bumgarner looks to rebound from a rough outing against the Oakland Athletics, to whom he surrendered three runs in 1.2 innings pitched.

For Shields, he looks to start his Padres career off with a bang, facing the team who prevented him from getting a World Series ring. Shields is part of a new look Padre team, who also acquired players Justin Upton and Matt Kemp in the off-season along with other high profile players.

Will the Giants have a winning percentage higher than .500 for the first time this spring or, will James Shields get his revenge: Check in for updates.
